Campaign Update #5

We mentioned in our last update that we have thankfully reached our goal to sponsor the Nginja family from Zimbabwe. We also stated that our next recipient would be located in Guatemala. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, we must push the pause button on that assignment…for now. Hopefully, we will be able to revisit that household soon. Nevertheless, the show must go on.

To that end, I’m thrilled to announce our next stop: South Africa, my “other” home. We are currently collaborating with Fiona Nthoroane, a South African citizen who has been providing local support on her own since the start of the pandemic. To our delight, she and her husband Samuel have also joined the Global Growth Ministry Family. Stay tuned for more details. In the coming weeks, we will update you on the ultimate impact that your prayers and support have had on Owen.

We are yet trusting God that the latter part of this race will be greater than the former. We would love for you join us in our effort by clicking here to contribute towards our next sponsorship recipient, who we will profile in the coming weeks.

Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God. (2 Corinthians 9:10-11)

Campaign Update #4

WE DID IT! HALLELUJAH!

The blessings just keep on flowing! With only $450 left to achieve our goal, I intended to write that we anticipate smooth sailing from here. Little did I know that before I could post this update, I would discover that in just over 2 weeks, we MET OUR OBJECTIVE OF RAISING $1,000! We are so excited about what God is doing through this effort.

In the coming weeks, we will update you on the ultimate impact that your prayers and support have had on Owen. Meanwhile, we are moving on to our next stop – Guatemala. Stay tuned for information about that campaign coming soon.

So, as you can see, God is doing great things for Global Growth Ministries’ Helping Hands program. It’s not too late for you to be a part of this humanitarian-aid effort. Any tax-deductible financial contribution you provide will make a world of difference in the lives of the beneficiaries. However, If you cannot donate at this moment, we would love for you to partner with us in prayers.

Confess your faults one to another and pray for one another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (James 5:16)

We are trusting God that the latter part of this race be greater than the former. If you feel moved in your spirit to be a part of answered prayer, please click here to donate to our next sponsorship recipient and please remember to share. I can’t wait to report what God is about to do next.

Campaign Update #3

The following update was posted on April 13, 2021. Shortly after publishing this post, more donations propelled us beyond the half way mark.

God is so awesome.

We are approaching the half way mark!

I’m so excited! God just keeps on blessing us! We have raised almost half our goal in less than two weeks! We only have $550 left to achieve our goal. How exciting is that!

The donations we’ve received are making an impact already. Upon learning about how we are trying to help, Owen has written a special message of appreciation. Here’s what he had to say:

“My name is Owen Nginja from Zimbabwe. I find it such a blessing to be taking my time writing to amazing people like you to express my heartfelt gratitude. It’s our prayers continually with my wife that the Lord who is great enough to bless and take care of you that he will richly bless, prosper and keep you from all harmful things that life and the enemy throw at people to destroy them.

“You may be a hard-working young man with big dreams in your heart that you want to achieve during your lifetime. However, then sometimes life throws certain situations and problems that will hit you so hard. Then you fall to a level where you can’t lift yourself up. But when you cry for a hand that will lift you up, it only takes compassionate and loving people like you to help.

“Yes, it’s true. It is me who cried for help. I’m so glad that though you don’t even know us, you chose to show love and stretch your hand forth at a time that I was going to be homeless with a 1-year nine months baby.

“Sometimes, establishing something that enables you to provide yourself a living, especially here in Zimbabwe, Africa, is not easy for economic and political reasons. Even more so, with two previous lockdowns, some of us cannot afford the costs yet. This is why we need help.

“But the most important thing here is to thank you so much for what you did for us. Your help gave us more time under a roof and more days with food in our bellies. So, on behalf of my family, we just want to say thank you so much. You gave us tears of joy. We will forever be grateful in our hearts to you. Thank you for being used by God to keep and save us.”

Please consider helping us reach our goal. I ask that you prayerfully consider sowing a financial seed to ensure one household’s stability and assist in helping them re-establish themselves over the last six months. These contributions will go far towards helping these families to regain their financial independence. If you cannot give, you can still contribute with your prayers.

I so look forward to hearing from you. Please click here to donate, and please remember to share. I’ll keep you updated at least once per week on the campaign’s progress, as I initially promised.

Again, many thanks for your support.

Love & Blessings,

Sharon Williams

They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me. (Matthew 25:44-45 NIV)

Campaign Update #2

The following update was posted on April 8, 2021, one week after the campaign was launched:

First Milestone Met

Studies show that campaigns that reach 30% of their goals during the first week are most likely to attain those goals. I’m so excited to announce that we’ve reached that milestone! Out of our $1,000 goal, we have already raised $300.

I want to give a shout-out to Ben Benni, Cynthia Read, and the anonymous donors who graciously supported this effort. I don’t have the words to express my gratitude. I can already see the fruit that your seeds have produced.

But there’s still quite a way to go. With four weeks left, all we need to meet our campaign goal is $700. Wouldn’t it be a cause for celebration if we could raise those funds in half that time? I’m excited to see what this week will bring.

For those of you who haven’t contributed yet, there’s still time. I ask that you prayerfully consider sowing a financial seed to ensure at least one family’s stability for at least six months. These contributions will go far towards helping these families to regain their financial independence.

I so look forward to hearing from you. Please help us by donating, and please remember to share.

Again, many thanks for your support.

Campaign Update #1

On March 31, 2021, Global Growth Ministries launched its first ever humanitarian-aid program designed to support households in areas where a lack of governmental support intensifies desperation. Over the next few days, we will post updates in the order they were posted on our GoFundMe Charity page since the campaign inception. Future updates will be published here directly on a weekly basis until the campaign concludes. The following update was posted on April 1, 2021 which was only one day after the campaign was launched:
